One Month Into The Campaign
It's hard to believe it's already been a month since I launched Steps Against Homophobia. This is still only the beginning, but I'm really proud of how far the campaign has come in just one month. There are now 245 days to go until I set off on the 339 mile walk. If I'm honest, the biggest challenge so far has been social media. I've never been someone who enjoys being in front of a camera. Training Walk #1 – Clevedon to Portishead
Every big journey has to start somewhere, and today marked my very first official training walk for the 339-mile Steps Against Homophobia challenge. Planning a 339-Mile Journey
Although the walk itself begins in April 2027, the planning has already started. A 339-mile journey doesn't happen overnight. Every stage needs careful thought, from choosing safe walking routes and calculating daily distances to planning accommodation and identifying places where I can meet clubs, organisations and supporters along the way. One of the aims of the challenge is to connect with communities across England, so the route is about much more than simply getting from

Why I Created Steps Against Homophobia
Football has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. It's given me unforgettable memories, introduced me to incredible people and shown me the positive impact that sport can have on individuals and communities. But it's also made me aware that not everyone experiences football in the same way. For many LGBTQ+ people, sport can still feel like a place where they have to hide part of who they are or worry about how they'll be treated. While progress has been
